Ohio State, Purdue, Illinois publish weed control guide

Weed control is a critical mission in the push to have a healthier crop and increase yield.

To help farmers better understand ways of controlling weed pressures common to the Midwest, extension services from The Ohio State University, Purdue University and the University of Illinois have collaborated to publish “The 2022 Ohio, Indiana and Illinois Weed Control Guide.”

The 234-page guide explains the importance of weed control and gives suggestions on herbicide management strategies for corn, soybeans, small grains and forages. It also includes special sections on control of problem weeds, managing marestail in no-till soybeans and herbicide programs for non-GMO soybeans. An index to all tables regarding herbicides is listed on the back cover for easy navigation and quick referencing.

The guide can be purchased for $18 by clicking here.
