Commodity Classic features Association of Equipment Manufactures

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers is one of the organizations that presented the Commodity Classic in New Orleans, LA. last week.  This year’s theme was “The Future Is In Your Hands.” 

AEM Senior Vice President of Agriculture Industries, Curt Blades says that the Commodity Classic is important because it is the “the gathering place for farmers and the ag industry in North America and it gives our members, the equipment manufacturers, a great change to interact with cutting edge farmers and those ones that are really progressive in looking for solutions to make their businesses more profitable and more efficient.” In addition to helping set up the  new equipment displays, but they brought the “Plugfest” to the Commodity Classic. This is where technology experts and equipment manufacturers were in one room to doing testing to be sure that equipment works as seamlessly as possible for farmers. The Commodity Classic is the largest agricultural showcase in the United States. Not only does the show sport a robust trade show, but there are also more than 50 educational sessions on the schedule. This year brought in over 7,000 attendees. 

The show has been running since 1996 and in addition to AEM, the American Soybean Association, National Corn Growers Association, National Association of Wheat Growers and National Sorghum Producers are all partner organizations.
